Gregor Pozniak is Secretary General of AMICE since March 2008.
He joined AMICE from ICMA (the International Capital Market Association), based in London and Zurich, where he was Senior Advisor for Regulatory Policy with a focus on European regulatory developments in financial markets regulation. Before this assignment, he was the Deputy Secretary General of the Brussels-based Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE) from 1998 to 2005 where he focused on regulatory and legislative issues from the viewpoint of Europe’s securities and derivatives exchanges and their operators.
Earlier steps in his professional career include the position of Member of the Management Committee and Head of Listings and Membership at the Vienna Stock Exchange (1995-1998), and Deputy Head of Investment Research at Creditanstalt (today part of the Unicredit Group) in Vienna.
He holds Masters’ and Doctoral Degrees from Vienna University of Economic Sciences and has studied at London Business School and Georgetown University, Washington D.C.
Gregor lives in Brussels with his wife and three children.
