AMICE organised a seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility in Paris on 23-24 October 2008 which brought together almost 60 participants from 13 countries, all but one from Europe.

The seminar was kindly hosted by AMICE member MACIF and the event was opened by MACIF President, Gérard Andreck.

Day one of the seminar began with an introduction by Jan Noterdaeme from CSR Europe and was followed by keynote speakers Kathy Bardswick, CEO of The Cooperators, Canada and Chair of ICMIF and Asmo Kalpala, CEO of Tapiola, Finland and President of AMICE. Both of these speakers showed how CSR can - and should - be used to an advantage by a mutual/cooperative insurer.

Day two was organised around four workshops allowing participants to discuss the practical aspects of CSR implementation in the company in small groups.
